President Obama’s inaugural speech combined the businesslike, pointing towards what he (and his fellow citizens) will do to get out of the current dire situation, the ideals that will sustain his policies and the painful past overcome. In short, the slogan changed from Yes we can! to Yes we will!
Work starts tomorrow (or even this afternoon) in earnest: (semblance of) competence will do good for confidence and pumping 825 billion dollars into the economy should make a difference. And hopefully for better. As said previously, Mr Obama won’t be perfect, and not all the problems can be resolved easily or in a short period of time or without pain, however, his ability makes him very qualified to face the problems. Other countries can only look with envy, that the US has a political leader, who has the capability and who can change the political landscape by inspiring so many.
