The opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver starts in a matter of hours, and I will be watching some events with attention. I have a seriously weird taste in sports as a spectator, and the Winter Olympics is no exception. The two events I will try to watch on television are: cross-country skiing classical style, and curling. I think cross-country skiing is one of the most physically demanding sports, and there is something very attractive about a sport in which atheletes battle with the nature as much as against other competitors. Curling is a very strategic game, often called chess on ice, and I really like the fact that while you need to be physically fit, you don’t have to be young and physically fit.
