Food crisis in Guatemala

I have to confess absolute ignorance about the drought affecting Guatemala. It is one of the poorest countries, whose population suffers from chronic malnutrition, and the current drought has exacerbated the situation. The UN had called for $34 million in aid, but less than 10% of that amount has been received so far.
