Photographs │ London │ The Shard

No other building is more controversial than The Shard in London at the moment. Many people either love it or hate it. I’m ambivalent: Southwark Cathedral is one of my favourite buildings in London, so I dislike the way The Shard completely overpowers the cathedral, yet from distance, The Shard looks very distinctive. I would like London to be a living and evolving city, not some sort of ossified, stuck-in-the-past place, so I generally welcome new architectural landmarks.
