It may look like an upscale hotel or a department store, but in actual fact this is the shopping and restaurant area at Haneda Airport. Despite its official name, Tokyo International Airport, Haneda was used more or less exclusively for domestic flights for a long time. Recently, however, the fourth runway came into operation at Haneda, which increased the number of landing slots, some of which have been allocated to international flights, and the name is no longer misleading.
